sleep talker

Wow, so... Daegan talks in his sleep! I have no idea where he gets this from. No one in this family talks in their sleep.

About a week ago, he was mumbling, "and John the Baptist." giggle!

There are more, but mostly it is him rolling over and saying, "I love you, Mommy."

Thanksgiving 2011

So, to celebrate our very first Thanksgiving together which won't revolve around sports, I took the kids to climb a local mountain. Logan stopped ever single person to pass to tell them about his Spiderman shoes, and how they help him climb the rocks. Then, he would show them his superman moves. Considering it is a holiday weekend, that meant that a lot of people saw the performance. Daegan was more intent on finding fossils. He would pick up rocks saying, "Mom, this is the skull of a Diplodocus!" or "Wow! I found the tibia of a pteredon!" He was also so curious, "Mom, is this homogeneous or heterogeneous minerals?" "Mom, what elements are that made of?" Mom didn't have a lot of answers this morning. ;) It was a beautiful morning out with my babies, though. They are getting so big so quickly, and are making such developmental leaps now that their lives are so much calmer and more stable.

How you feeling, Daegan?

Part Kristi, Part Monkey!

My pensive little man, on top of the mountain. Wonder what he was thinking?

My favorite thing about this photo is that this happened naturally... no posing!

sneaking up on birds never works.

11-15-11

So, by the expressions... how do you think the water felt?

Who needs a dog when we can borrow everyone else's?
This pup was cool- we were playing frisbee catch in the river.
The dog had mad skillz.
Yes, I just said "mad skillz."

It was a beautiful, clear day today.

It may not be a real beach, but I can still enjoy the sun and sand.

Another borrowed pup. This is only 11 months old!

Aw, what a sweet ice cream mouth!!

Point and Shoot

I didn't miss once. Not once.

And it really felt surprisingly natural.
Suddenly, I am very grateful to be surrounded by gun enthusiasts.
Not only will I always be safe from those who want to harm me, I can learn to hold my own.

Boom, baby. I wish this was my Jeep.

Ah, therapy via bullets.

PIRATES!

Arrrgh!

I swear they love each other...

Logan was a Helper-T cell in the demonstration... for about three minutes, lol.
Still a little young for stage acting.

So handsome when he smiles.

Daegan knew how to use a telescope.

Logan didn't.

How much do you weigh on the different planets?

Brother Pirates!

Daegan could name the different types of cells on this wall
(there were viruses, red blood cells, neurons, and I think bone...) ! I was so proud of him!

I asked them to pose for a pic in front of the ship, but they wouldn't stop fighting. :)
"Mom, if I grow up with a sword in my hand, I will make a really good pirate!"

Cuteness Magnified.

Looking at crystals of salt.
Daegan, looking through this: "Mom, the sodiumand the chloride look the same- it's all squares!"

Working on the bravery to sit on the bed of nails.

I **love** this kid.

And this one. We have fantastic times together.
